Apr. 30, 2007 - US Federation of Inline Figure Skaters will be co-sponsoring a booth at the Professional Skaters Association(PSA) Conference in Bensenville, Il, a Chicago suburb, on Friday May 23. There will be live demos, videos, discussions and inline figure skates for people to try on. We have invited and received positive response from a vendor willing to provide a good supply of skates. Several other vendors have been invited to join us. All interested vendors are invited to participate.
The PSA is allowing space outside of the booth to demo the skates. We will also be doing videos of skaters and interviews for a future video. There is an outdoor inline hockey rink close to the building that we may have access to also for skating.
The PSA is the coaches organization for ice figure skating in the U.S. and has coach members from around the world. Over 800 coaches are expected to attend along with up to 24 vendors.
We are looking for skaters and volunteers willing to demo inline figure skates and help at the booth. Also we're looking for donations to help defray some of the costs since we do not plan on selling anything at this time. Anyone interested can email info@usfifs.org or send mail or donations to USFIFS at P.O. Box 1970, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. We are an Illinois non-profit organization and considered an IRS 501(c)3 corporation so all donations are tax-deductible.
US Federation of Inline Figure Skaters, or USFIFS, is an organization dedicated to the advancement of inline figure skating.
