Basic Skills Committee
The Basic Skills Committee is  responsible for developing the skills of the recreational figure skater. It is  responsible for developing and modifying the training program in consideration of the goals set forth in Article II of the Bylaws.

The Basic Skills Committee is responsible to develop the following:

1. A training program

2. A testing program.

3. A competition program and implementing it in conjuction with the CompetitionsCommitttee.

The USFS Basic Skills program is based on the United States Figure Skating's Basic Skills Learn to Skate program. It is being modified to better work with inline figure skates.


The current members of the Basic Skills Committee are:
