You do not need a coach or a rink’s approval to form a club. Complete information is in the Club Membership Application.
There are two main levels of clubs:
1.Provisional Club—A provisional club needs to have at least 3 current USFIFS members. They can be youth or adult members. It Needs to have funds and signatures handled by an adult if the treasurer is not an adult. It has a President, Secretary and Treasurer. One person can hold more than one position. Youth can form a club under adult supervision but do not have voting rights as a club at the Governing Council.
2.Full Member Club—Needs at least 5 current USFIFS members It needs three officers that are adults and USFIFS members. The main officers are President, Secretary and Treasurer. There can also be a Vice-President. A person cannot hold more than one position. A Full Member Club has all the rights of a club including voting at the annual Governing Council.
